Since his debut release and his start in the lofi hip-hop scene, musician and producer Bastido has evolved over the years from purely instrumental tracks to a sound that combines elements of jazz, alternative R&B and neo-soul and consciously crosses common genre boundaries. In the process, he always tries to find a balance between something new and something familiar. In releases like “Sera” (2021) and “Alba” (2022), he experiments with different genres and collaborates with artists from different cultures and countries. The collaboration album “Mid 20s”, released in 2024 together with singer Lia J, deals with the challenges that life in your twenties brings - both in a personal and social context.

With an introspective sound reminiscent of the laid-back grooves of 90s jazz hip-hop, while simultaneously embracing the warm, analog tones of the 70s, the premise always remains the same: a relaxed and stress-free vibe. Bastido, whose real name is Bastian Kladny, remains on the lookout for new ways to realize his musical ideas without losing touch with his roots.
